Description

Fantastic lot of 3 Records from the American Armed Forces Radio Services. I have aquired a large collection and will be listing more over the next few weeks. Each LP was put out by the Office of Armed Forces Information and Education Department of Defense. #1: This one is labeled Radio and Television. Numbered P-3893 and SSL-7285 on one side and features Paul Whiteman and the "New" Ambassador Hotel Orchestra. Features the following tunes: You're Driving Me Crazy, Japanese Sandman, Whispering, and I Love You. Also features from the original Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra 1945: San and Wang Wang Blues. The other side is numbered P-3894 and SSL-7286. This side features "Dance Session" by Charlie Barnet and His Orchestra. Tunes are My Old Flame, As Long As I live, Sweet Lorraine and Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen. Lp is in great condition with barely any scratches. LP #2: One side is numbered P-2535 and SSL-5111. It features Helen O'Connell with Les Baxter and his Orchestra. Songs are Long Ago Last Night, One for the Wonder, You Like?, You Darlin, Two Faced Clock, and Till the End of the World. The other side is numbered P-2536 and SSl-5112. This side features songs by Benny Goodman and his Orchestra and The Benny Goodman Sextet. Songs are Wrappin' It Up, King Porter Stomp, Toodle-lee-yoo-doo, Oh Babe!, Farewell Blues, and Walkin' with the Blues. Record is in very good condition with a few minor scratches. Record #3: This one is numbered on one side, P-2057 and SSl-4141. The featured band is Jerry Gray and his Orchestra. Songs are Music by He Angels, Push 'em Away, Darling How Could You, Dear! Dear! Dear!, I Love the Sunshine of Your Smile, and Dreamy Melody. Other side is numbered P-2058 and SSL-4142. This side has The Ink Spots with Sy Oliver and his Orchestra and Bill Kenny and the Song Spinners with Sy and his Orchestra also. Featured songs are I Don't Stand a Ghost of a Chance with You, Castles in the Sand, I'm Lucky I Have You, Tell Me You Love Me, These Things Shall Pass, and Keep On the Sunnyside of Life. LP is in very good condition with a few minor scratches. The sleeves for all these records are in good condition with some bending of the corners. Please email me with any questions.
