One of the major negative aspects of buying via the internet is, that you cannot hold the item you are interested in in your hand and take a close look on your own before ordering.

Because of that it is one of the most important things to know how a seller grades his items, cause there are more than just 1 or 2 opinions about a &quot:used but in good condition&quot: item.
Please read our explanations carefully to avoid any misunderstandings and frustrations. If you are unsure about anything do not hesitate do send us an e-mail with your questions or requests before ordering.

Music items &amp: Co.:
We generally use the standard Goldmine grading system and orientate by grading records on the information from recordcollectorsguild.org but include EX (Excellent) as grading between VG+ and Near Mint.We always grade Cover and record / CD seperately.
It is of course impossible to grade every item also by listening to the complete record, so we generally do only a visible grading.For expensive items or items with lots of signs of use we also do an
audible check.NEW items are not always delivered sealed from the manufacturer or distributor. If it is important for you to know if a NEW item is sealed please ask before ordering.

Neu / New = New and unplayed copy

Mint: Absolutely perfect in every way.

Near Mint: Almost perfect . Record and cover should look and play as if the item was just bought and only used 1-2 times. No visible signs of use, except 1 or 2 minimal hairlines that can be noticed only by taking a detailed and close look.

Excellent (EX): Not as perfect as Near Mint, but in very good used condition. It is obvious that the pre-owner took good care of the item. Some very light &quot:classical &quot:signs of use or hairlines can appear from taking the record in and out of the cover or constant use over many years, BUT no large or deep scratches are allowed ! record must play without any problems or affection of sound quality. Compared to a VG+ record, an EX item does not have seam split and the signs of use must be very few .

Very Good Plus (VG+): Generally the same as EX but item can have more and more significant signs of use. Cover can show signs from storage on corners or spine or slight ringwear. Few light scratches can appear on the record, but those must not affect the play. Record must play without problems, no skipping or constant clicks or crackles are allowed to appear during the listening but can appear in extremely quit parts or between the songs.

Very Good (VG) : Generally the same as VG+ , but with more than just a few signs of use. More than just 1 or 2 larger scratches can appear on the record and the general &quot:look&quot: of the item is not as good as a VG+ item. Sound quality can affected also during longer parts , BUT record must play through without skipping or jumping.

Good (G): „Good” does not mean Bad! But almost :-) ! A record graded as Good (G) must also play though without skipping or jumping, but the sound and the general appearance of the item is strongly affected. Cover can show lots of seam split, strong ringwear, discoloration, small damages from price stickers or can be stamped.

Poor (P): Well... not to be called a NICE item anymore. Should only be used to fill the gap in a collection untill a better copy appears. Record can skip or jump, cover can have all sorts of damages (water damage, large damage from price stickers, cut-outs.....)
