Archie Shepp - Four For Trane - 1965 Stereo US First Pressing - Vg+ Condition
ARTIST: Archie Shepp
TITLE: Four For Trane
LABEL: Impulse!
NUMBER: AS-71
MONO/STEREO: Stereo
SPECIAL PRESSING INFO: 1965 US First Pressing; Orange And Black Labels
GRADE (Sleeve): Vg+
GRADE (RECORD): Vg+
Condition Detail:
The sleeve is in great shape, with some scratches and scuffing throughout. The front cover has gashes along the edges, most on the bottom and corners. There are a few scratches in the laminate on the front cover. Some of the laminate on the rear cover is starting to peel along the opening. The vinyl is in great shape with some light scratches, overall nothing that caused more than an occasional pop. There is one factory pressing defect in the first groves of Niema (Side 2 Track 2). It appears a piece of dust or some foreign object was pressed into the record causing slight noise.
Purchased at estate sale. Record cleaned with VPI HW27 Typhoon before grading, sleeved with archival liner and shipped using Bags Unlimited Mighty Mailers.
Played with a AT12S Shibata with NAD pre into an Aragon 8008 with PSB Stratus Goldi speakers. A detailed and visceral testing system.
We generally undergrade our records due to how detailed the stylus is. Small noise on our system will probably not replicate on a conical
or elliptical stylus.
This is sold as is. Please look at all info and ask any questions you have before you purchase.
Thank you.
