THE IMPORTANT INFO:
Here's a beautiful NM/M copy of ANDY WARHOL'S VELVET UNDERGROUND FEATURING NICO, issued in 1972 by UK MGM.
This UK only double album has a great pop art cover, designed for this album only.
An exclusive one-of-a-kind 37 year-old laminated gatefold sleeve!
The double vinyl is an exclusive compilation collection and features the best of the original Velvets.
It's rare to find this album set in any kind of nice condition and this one is stunning.
I haven't seen one of these in years, and of the few that I've held with my own two hands,
this one is the most perfect. If not for the yellowing of the original inner paper sleeves,
(which happens with all 40 year old white paper)(this one only has edge-yellowing)(see photos of inner sleeves)
I would believe wholeheartedly that this was a brand new mint copy if you shrinkwrapped it and we went back in time to 1972.
The cover would be mint too if not for a couple of very minor spots. The main problem with this freakishly rare album
and aging has always been the laminated cover. While it basically preserves the white paper of the gatefold LP, it can't
last forever, and every copy I've ever seen has some minor lamination problem. This one has the most minor flaws I've EVER
seen on a copy. On the inner fold, there are a couple of small places where the laminate is starting to peel back. It happens on EVERY
copy I've ever seen, and this is the most well-preserved copy I've ever held, as I said before. Also, as you can hopefully see
on the photos of the front cover, there is a small (1/4 of an inch) scuff on the top right corner. The inner fold of the gatefold
(as described earlier) and the edges of the cover are the places where they usually go bad. The laminate had to stop at the
edges, so on copies that are in bad shape, that's where it usually starts. This copy has very very minor laminate edgewear,
and, as I also said before, could pass for brand new if we could time travel. On the rear, you might be able to see, at the top, the very light beginnings of ringwear beginning, but it's very minor, and the best I've ever seen on a copy of this very fragile collectible. And I should
point out, when you're looking at these photos, if I didn't point out all the spots to look for, you'd probably just be looking at all the photos,
amazed by the great condition and the whiteness of the cover. You might even have trouble finding the spots I'm describing if you're paying attention and trying to find them! All in all, if I didn't point out these minor spots, only the most picky of
collectors would even pay attention. This is singularly the most gorgeous copy of this nearly 4-decade-old rarity I've ever held.
What I'm saying is this: I've never seen a nicer copy. Even if you go to a record collector's site and look at
photographs of previously-sold copies from eBay (a few have sold in the last few years, generally in the $150-$300 range, even
for versions not as well-preserved as this one) you won't see one this attractive.
PLUS, unlike many sellers (again, see eBay, popsike, etc.)
WE DO NOT REMOVE OUR VINYL FROM THE SLEEVE AND LAY IT DOWN ON
A SURFACE WHERE IT CAN COME IN CONTACT WITH ANY OBJECTS,
even if it's laying the record on its own sleeve, or on a soft cloth, or whatever other goofball sellers do.
Look at other auctions, even with records selling for huge amounts of money, and notice that the seller has taken
the record out of its sleeve and laid it down on a f*cking table!!! It makes me cringe when I see it.
WE WILL NOT GIVE YOUR VINYL A CHANCE TO BE DAMAGED.
We NEVER take the vinyl out of its sleeve and place it anywhere.
I've seen auctions go for big money where they've taken 6 colored vinyl records and
overlapped them to show off how pretty the colors are! They're scratching your vinyl just to display it in a cute manner!
You'll never see that here. We work hard to ensure that what you buy from us stays in the same condition we got it in.
The nicest we've seen, great pressings of the records too. If you're an audiophile, these original one-of-a-kind LPs will
make you deliriously happy. On my system, my personal copy of these records sounds better than modern repressings of many
of the same songs. This is what I go back to, time and time again, when I want to hear early Velvet Underground cuts.

See the photo(s). Sorry about my hand in the shots, (if it is), but I try to NEVER LAY THE VINYL DOWN ON ANYTHING, unlike lots of sellers, who FREAKIN' lay records down on tables and things to photograph them! We give them all the very clean hand or WHITE GLOVE TREATMENT, as you see in the photos, and take the pics with someone holding the vinyl in the air, never touching it, pulling it carefully from its sleeve. Whatever we sell you is going to be in the best shape possible. We're all collectors and know that other collectors appreciate the extra mile. I mean, there may be a smoker in the building, but he doesn't blow it into the records, and we handle them as if they might explode! (Although they won't, postal person, we promise).
Have a good time bidding. Maybe you can get it for a steal. Good luck. Hopefully you'll get it for a good price. If you have any questions, fire 'em at us!
We will ship this ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.
