ARTIST: Bernard Paumgartner w/ Vienna Symphony OrchestraTITLE: 4 Divertimenti MozartLABEL: Epic LC 3081YEAR: 1956
CONDITION:Record: VG+ to VG clean, has some noise that will be reduced with a proper cleaningCover: VG+ almost NM , some light age discoloration on back / front has no flaws to the artwork MISCELLANEOUS: This handsome and extraordinarily rare LP from Epic (LC 3081, US pressing, yellow radial label, mono) features what is arguably among the rarest of the albums for which the great Andy Warhol executed the cover art. In addition, unlike some of the other jackets graced by his work, this particular one even bears the clear attribution "Warhol" in the lower-right corner. This album was issued in 1956 as part of the label's Mozart Jubilee series and is highly elusive. It contains four Mozart Wind Divertimentos with the Wind Instrument Ensemble of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra under the baton of the eminent Mozart conductor and scholar Bernard Paumgartner.
The exact contents are as follows, all works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart:Divertimento No. 12 in E-flat Major K. 252Divertimento No. 16 in E-flat Major K. 289Divertimento No. 13 in F Major K. 253Divertimento No. 14 in B-flat Major K. 270
