Description

This is the original Van Gelder-stamped stereo pressing of Andrew Hill “Compulsion” on the New York USA labels of Blue Note BST 84217.  Other than a ¾” inaudible scuff at the end of Side 2, the playing surface is flawless, with a nice luster; perhaps played once.  The coated New York 23 cover is in beautiful condition - clean and bright throughout – with slight age toning at the opening on the slick; ¼” wear on the top seam, at the spine.  Illustrated inner sleeve is included. 

 

Personnel include Freddie Hubbard, John Gilmore, Cecil McBee, Richard Davis, and Joe Chambers.
