Description
This is Blue Note Records BLP 4217, Andrew Hill Compulsion, a blue and white, microgroove, New York USA, label original mono issue of this classic record with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. There is no ear on the original issue. The record is in near mint condition showing only pressing discoloration which does not affect the play or the grade. The record plays quietly throughout. The cover with the 43 West 61st St. New York 23 address, has a small amount of paper loss on the back and light shelf wear but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent with light spindle marks. The record was played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode and cleaned on a VPI 17. This is an outstanding collector's grade copy of this beautiful original Blue Note recording with all the proper markings in place.
