Description

You are bidding on one copy of Aluminium, a 12" vinyl LP released in 2006 by XL Recordings.

Aluminium is a collection of orchestral versions of songs written by Jack White (of The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather), produced by Richard Russell and arranged by composer Joby Talbot. This album is a much different beast than your typical "String Quartet Tribute to..." CD; Talbot completely reworks White's songs as avant-garde orchestral pieces, finding in White's revisionist blues echoes of great American composers like Gershwin, Copland and Ives. It's a must-hear for any White Stripes fan. The tracklisting:

1. Aluminum
2. I'm Bound to Pack It Up
3. Why Can't You Be Nicer to Me?
4. Astro
5. Never Far Away
6. Little Bird
7. Let's Build a Home
8. Who's a Big Baby?
9. The Hardest Button to Button
10. Forever for Her (Is Over for Me)

999 copies of this LP were released in 2006. This copy is numbered #113. It also comes with a set of CD-sized art cards by Rob Jones, who created the album artwork. This LP is unplayed and has remained stored in a LP Case and all items are in excellent condition.
