Beautiful ALICE COLTRANE Impulse Label LP:

"HUNTINGTON ASHRAM MONASTERY"

IMPULSE RECORDS # AS-9185, Stereo

This is a U.S. copy of the Alice Coltrane album released in 1969 on the Impulse Jazz Label. I believe from the look of the label this is a 1972 pressing. It has a thick gatefold cover with a glossy laminate. The songs on the LP are Huntington Ashram Monastery, Turiya, Paramahansa Lake, Via Sivanandagar, IHS and Jaya Jaya Rama. A great copy of this rare Alice Coltrane release.

The cover and record are in excellent condition. We purchased this record from a collection that was well cared for and carefully stored in a climate controlled atmosphere. The cover still retains much of its original gloss, the corners are great, and there is no seam or spine splitting, and no drill holes or cut out marks. The laminate is separating slightly from the cover on the left front, which is common among laminated Impulse Records, and there is a very minor amount of surface wear if you look closely. If the cover were any color other than black, it would probably not show. The record appears to have had very few plays. There is a slight amount of light surface scuffing, probably caused by sliding the record into the paper inner sleeve, but nothing even close to being able to be felt. Other than this, the playing surface looks wonderful and is very clean and shiny. The record labels and inside of the gatefold look perfect. This also still has the original ABC paper inner sleeve.

All records are shipped in a sturdy professional cardboard mailer with cardboard insert. We do not charge a handling fee.
