AirLine BODY + KAPA 12 STRING NECK
ELECTRIC FRANKENGUITAR

A KAPA 12 STRING NECK MARRIED AT SOME POINT TO AN AirLine BODY.

Looks like AirLine pick-ups and pickguard set up.

Kapa Continental(?) 12 String Electric Guitar Neck and original tuners made in the 60's (not sure what year it is exactly).
AirLine body "refinished" to a black lacquer from what appears to be the original (?) green (same as the one at Rudy's site). There was probably some conversion to the AirLine hardware to make this a 12 string but from what I can tell everything else is original including the hardware and electronics.
Strickly a project or parts guitar - untested so I can't say much about the electronics except the knobs and switch work freely. I don't see any rust so my guess is this will be up and running without much work. Cracked and taped together pick guard. Action a little high, neck slight bend (but has adjustable torsion bar so could probably be taken care of that way). Frets pretty good except for the zero fret having some wear, nut looks a little rough. Good amount of scratches and chipping but no real losses I can see.

Here's some info about the Kapa Continental 12-string electric I lifted from someone else:
I found some information in the book called "Guitar Stories Volume One" by Michael Wright. The model number is: CO-XII. It came out around 1966 and listed for $169.50 with a stop tailpiece. They also had the CO-XII-V, which had a vibrato and listed for $219.50. they were made until 1970, when Kapa went out of business.
Is says, the best way to date them is to use the pot codes, other than the fact that they were made from 1966 to 1970. A way to distinguish a Continental from a Kapa Challenger is: The Continental has sliding on/off switches, whereas, the Challengers have three-way toggle selectors.
They came in a wide variety of colors, such as: candy apple red with a black pickguard, bright red with a white pickguard, sunburst with a white pickguard, white with either a black or white pickguard, light or dark metallic blue with a white pickguard, ocean turquoise with a white pickguard, pastel yellow with either a white or black pickguard and black with a white pickguard.
The Kapa Guitar Company was launched around 1963 by a Kope Veneman, a Dutch immigrant. The company was based in Maryland. It folded around 1970 after which parts and equipment were sold to Micro-Frets and the Mosrite company.
