Vanity was a legendary Osaka-based underground label from the late 70s/early 80s founded by Yuzuri Agi. Vanity pressed in very small quantities, generally 300 copies or less. The labels stock-in-trade, aside from a few titles such as Aunt Sally, was raw, electronic experimentation which sounds impressively contemporary when put up against current glitch, minimal techno and laptop artists. This experimentation included toying with ideas of fidelity or the lack thereof, recording techniques like hard panning, volume and frequency drop outs, etc.

The musicians on this record are Agata Morio on vocal, compose and piano, SAB on synthisizer, strings, vocoder, clabinet, lead guitar, bass guitar, guitar and bass synthesizers, rhythm box, echo, flanger, electronics and arrangement, Fujimoto Yulio on electronics, special synthesizer programming and effect synthesizer, Phew and Idiot Girls chorus, Mukai Chie on ko-kyu, Yusada Takashi on drums, Taiqui on synthesized drums and Punk Boys Jun Shinoda and Kitada on slide guitar.
