Description
Up for bid is a very rare press of the LP "Space Reggae Vol 2" by Nana Ampadu I and the African Brothers Band Int. This was released by F.O.B. Records (AB1-1201) out of New York. This is some psychedelic afrobeat - it has spacy sounding wah guitars and keyboards behind a driving rhythm.

"Ghana's African Brothers Band has thrived and survived through three decades of social and political transition and turmoil throughout their homeland. They have reigned supreme atop the highlife hierarchy almost since their inception. They're currently led by Nana Kwame Ampadu the third, and record at Ambassador studios in Kumasi. The African Brothers emerged as superstars in 1967, with their first hit "Ebi Tie Ye." They were part of the new highlife sound that fused rock and reggae bits into a tight, multiple guitar front line, accenting lyricist and leader Nana Ampadu's exhaustive, metaphor-driven sermons drawn from stories of the animal kingdom. They have several releases available on the international market, plus many other cassette-only items not sold outside Ghana."
LP is VG+, with light scuffs on either side. Plays through with very little surface noise. There is no spindle wear. LP is beautiful - very clean and still retains a nice gloss. Jacket is a solid VG+ with no split seams. Jacket is still in the original shrink wrap. There is light ring wear on the front and back of the jacket. There is minor corner wear on the corners of this jacket. There is a crease in the front top right corner of the jacket. There is writing in ink in the center of the front of the shrink wrap which has indented into the jacket. This is a beautiful set - do not miss this hard to find gem! Shipping outside the US is via USPS First Class International. In regards to a return policy: In the event that this item is not as it is described, we do accept returns.
