AYERS ROCK KILLER FUNK INSERT=”HOT SPELL”
This is arguably Australia’s best funk album done by the super Ayers Rock. It was released in 1980 on the obscure Red Rock label RR6321. Ayers Rock commenced their musical career in 1973 in Melbourne and recorded two great albums – Big Red Rock and Beyond.
In 1980 with some line up changes including Andy Cowan keyboards and Keith Casey on vocals this awesome album was recorded with a rich dark killer funk style never experienced in Australia before. Although it shocked some of their original fans, it has stood the test of time as THE rare classic Australian funk album.
The vinyl is virtually flawless. The cover has some light ringwear and the insert, with photos of the band and info on the session is included. High end copy.
