The back cover is hand signed "JAH LIVE BOB MARLEY" in blue ink - please see photo #2 above.

According to the original owner, an ex-employee of Island Records, the record sleeve was signed by Bob Marley at Brighton Conference Centre in July 1980 during the brief UK leg of the Uprising world tour. I have no reason to doubt her story, and after some online research I am happy to offer this as a genuine signature.

CONDITION:

VINYL EXCELLENT The record is clean and bright with a beautiful deep sheen. The record has some light surface marks and very minor scratches. The paper labels are clean with typical spindle lines.

AUDIO EXCELLENT The sound reproduction play grades as EXCELLENT with clear audio and only very occasional slight surface noise.

INNER SLEEVE VERY GOOD The printed lyric inner sleeve has an 8cm seam split along its bottom edge. Along with this, the record will be dispatched in a new polylined paper inner sleeve.

OUTER SLEEVE EXCELLENT- The sleeve retains its bright original colours. There is rubbing to the edges and corners with signs of handling along the opening edge. There are no tears folds or seam splits.

This record will be removed from its outer sleeve and dispatched in a plastic cover WITH FOUR CARDBOARD STIFFENERS and posted in strong, good quality cardboard packaging. Please try to recycle the packing cardboard if possible - it might just help to offset the damage done when it was originally manufactured. Alternatively, throw it away and set fire to a couple of old tyres.
