Title: Cantate Domino

Recorded in 1976 at the Oscarchurch in Stockholm, Sweden, by SOUND WORKSHOP Bertil Alvig. It’s first release in 1976 was on the Swedish PROPRIUS label. This is the audiophile original German pressing from 1979 on ATR MASTERCUT RECORDING, ATR LP 002. This was the second release of ATR ( =Audiotrade), the first one was Esther Ofarim’s selftitled debut-album. This is not the recent reissue but the original ATR-pressing from 1979 !

Line-up: Marianne Mellnäs/soprano – Alf Linder/organ – Oscars Motett Choir led by Torsten Nilsson.

Considered by most high-end aficionados to be perhaps the finest choral recording ever made, a true audiophile masterpiece and rightfully on the TAS-list. High-quality “ATR Mastercut Recording”: The high-speed original PROPRIUS mastertape recording is transferred without filters or limiters directly to the cutting-stylus. Supreme high-fidelity, highly recommended !

I also offer a mint copy of the companies first release ATR 001 in my auctions: Esther Ofarim – Esther , her first album, wich is considered by most high-end aficionados to be one of the the finest female vocal recordings ever made.

Condition: the record looks and plays perfectly in mint-. The cover looks nearly as new, mint--.

Grading & Cleaning:

• the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

• after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

• I also visually graded the record under a strong light

• only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg.

• cleaned records are stored in a new deluxe innersleeve and they are placed in a new PVC protection-sleeve !
