ATLANTIC RECORDS 40th ANN 4 LP BOX SET LED ZEPPELIN YES

Rare 1988 4 LP box set entitled Classic Rock 1966-1988.  This set was released by Atlantic Records in 1988, in celebration of their 40th anniversary.  It features 40 classic tracks by some of the biggest names of the genre, including Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, Bad Company, Crosby Stills and Nash, Alice Cooper, Robert Plant, Genesis, Yes, Derek and the Dominos, Cream, Stevie Nicks, and many more.

Contains 4 LPs and a multi-page book with stories and information about each artist included in the set. 

Records are like new and look as though they've never been played.  Book is in excellent condition. 

The box has a cut-out notch on the side (I believe it's a promo) and some light water damage.  A small part of the lower back corner is bubbled up, there's some water stains inside the upper lid, and part of the side has peeled away where it got stuck together.  This part isn't visible when the lid's on the box, however, and the box is in overall good condition, especially with the like-new records.  Great addition to any rock fan's collection.

We recently purchased the record/CD collection from the world famous collection of Mickey Turntable!

Mickey Turntable was a pillar of the publication world and was instrumental in the successful careers of numerous record and radio executives. She is a music industry veteran and visionary who put out a music publishing "tip sheet" from the 1950's for just over 50 years that was made for radio stations, DJ's & industry insidersalong with numerous entertainment publications. This was done in conjunction with *George "Hound Dog" Lorenz.

This tip sheet was the forerunner for current entertainment outlets such as TMZ & People Magazine.

From this collection, we will be selling limited edition and one of a kind promo samples, amazing vinyl in both album and 45 formats. Some will be even still factory sealed!

*Known by many as "The Man Who Created Rock 'N Roll" George "Hound Dog" Lorenz helped kick start the careers for many of the biggest names in rock music from the 1950’s and 60’s. When no one else would play them, George Lorenz took chances with artists like Little Richard, Elvis Presley, Sam Cooke, Clyde Mcfatter, Fats Domino and many, others.

George Lorenz's persistence and commitment to introducing the world to great music and not the status quo, helped him to become one of the most influential figures in the music world and in doing so, George accomplished something that no one else was able to do…. he brought Rock N’ Roll to the mainstream.  George can be heard on the Elvis Presley original recording of Hound Dog & booked Elvis on many of his earlier concerts when he was just getting started.

This is one amazing collection that will be much sought after. In addition the records and CD's, we also have some music & movie memorabilia from this collection as well.
