The Scorpions were not the first German Hard Rock/Metal band, that honour goes to Asterix/Lucifer's Friend.
This is a fantastic album from the band which would soon become the mighty Lucifer's Friend. The sound here is very dynamic and strong, the songs are great late 60's early 70s Hard Rock/ proto Metal and the musicianship is excellent. Asterix and Lucifers Friend were criminally underrated and it was a shame as their early material stands shoulder to shoulder with the best of Zeppelin, Heep, Purple and Sabbath.
Stand out songs here are Look Out, Gone From My Life, Broken Home, the magnificent hard/heavy rock/metal of Jump Into My Action, the Uriah Heep sounding Open Up Your Mind and Morning at My Dawn. In fact every song here is a winner although my least favourite would have to be Corner Street Girl but even this one is not bad, its just that it drops a little compared to the rest of the album
