Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. Seven Up, Ash Ra Tempel's third album is a flipped-out sonic joy ride to say the least, and if you're familiar with such albums as their 1971 debut, Join Inn (1973), or Inventions For Electric Guitar this one is in the zone. By this point, trying to figure out who was in the group had became pretty pointless, more or less a hippie commune of acid jammers. Main Ash Ra Tempel's guitarist Manuel Göttsching and bassist Hartmut Enke are here, with different vocalists, and ex-Tangerine Dream organist Steve Schroeder (he played on Alpha Centauri and guested on Zeit).
The album starts off with "Space". It's a suite divided in to four movements. It starts off with "Downtown", a downright acid-blues grinder sung by a female vocalist, which quickly turns into some truly mind blowing spacy electronic effects and atmospheric head-thrills that never lets up! And that's the space trip throughout, including three more acid-laced blues songs drenched in LSD if you will -- the band was just so stoned at the time, and they'd rather blow people's minds with the head-over-heels sonic attacks.
Thanks to the presence of Timothy Leary (who was in exile in neighboring Switzerland), it's no surprise that this music is the effects of an LSD trip. The second half of the album is taken up by a three movement suite called "Time". Here's where detractors of the album finds its redeeming qualities, as this is very much like like Alpha Centauri-era Tangerine Dream. The last movement of "Time" is "She" which is basically a re-recording of "Suche & Liebe" off Ash Ra Tempel's 1972 famous album Schwingungen. This is a wonderful, and sometimes underestimated album, which if you approach with an open-mind you'll probably fly with them...

LP #2 ASH RA TEMPEL ~ INVENTIONS FOR THE ELECTRIC GUITAR
The classic 1974 acid-progressive release by the guitarist of Ash Ra Tempel and one of the most innovative, groundbreaking and mindblowing album of the 70s' ! Ranking with its contemporary early Tangerine Deam and early Klaus Schulze, Manuel Göttsching combines waves of electric guitars to create spacey evolving soundscapes, and makes the music sounding not "guitar-dominated", but surprisingly rather very tripped-out and hypnotic.
The overture tune, Echo Waves, is a perfect example of the music created by Manuel. Mixing Jimi Hendrix's-like saturated guitar solos with minimalistic Neu-ish and early Pink Floyd-ish atmospherics, this pulsing track is very flowing and floating. Hard to believe it was recorded only with guitars ! The end is pure heavy psychedelia... The best and the most energic song of the album ! The calm comes back with Quasarsphere, a very smooth and delicate passage, which reminds of the best moments of Popol Vuh. Very relaxing underwater music... The last track is the longest of the record, Pluralis, the most mysterious and the most epic song featured here, transporting you to ancient civilisations lost in space, a side long adventure... Certain passages are reminiscent of Gong's You, released the same year. Light guitar riffs evolve to create a pulsing effect on superposing athmospheric waves, appearing and disappearing slightly. Magic ! The album ends with a saturated frightening guitar solo, sometimes in the vein of Edgar Froese's playing, scorching leads in the vein of the 1st Ash Ra Tempel Lp...Quite the epic, all accompanied by echoing guitar space travels...
