EMI ASD 358 DVORAK CELLO CONCERTO ROSTROPOVITCH RPO BOULT FIRST PRESS WHITE/GOLD LABEL 1960 STEREOPHONIC VINYL LP

Bidders may notice that the following grading description is very similar to many other similar 1950’s classical LPs I currently have listed or am going to be listing over the next few weeks.  This is due to the almost identical, practically ‘archive’ condition of the entire collection.  Do check out my other listings if these are of interest.  I am adding records every day.

Sleeve Condition: NEAR MINT: mild bumping to one corner, otherwise unmarked and in MINT condition.

Record Condition: Ex+: There is a very light mark across Side 1 which is very superficial and really is only the lightest surface mark.  This does not interfere in any way with play.  However, Side 1 does have the lightest, occasional whisper of surface noise.  This is not a euphemism for intrusive crackle, it is very light but it is there whereas Side 2 is darkly silent. In my opinion this is no more than commensurate with a record of this vintage but it does not quite reach the MINT or NEAR MINT standard of all of the other records I am currently auctioning.

This is only one of many similar LPs I have currently listed or will shortly be listing.  They are all from a small collection of early classical Decca SXL and EMI ASD Stereo and some Mono LXT and CSD LPs.  All are in the most extraordinary, Near Mint condition.  It would not be an exaggeration to describe the entire collection as in, ‘archive’ condition.   In 25 years of record dealing and over 40 years of collecting myself, I have never come across records so perfectly cared for is almost perfectly preserved inner and outer sleeves.
