1 GENERAL APPEARANCE OF PLAYING SURFACES

Lovely glossy surfaces. Only a few very light hairline paper scuffs both sides.

2 CONDITION OF LABELS

Labels fine, one visible spindle mark side 2.

3 COVER

Stiff cardboard cover is very nice indeed. A slight crease top left, and some corner wear bottom right with a 1.5cm split. Some light wear at the centre of the top edge. Unlaminated back has yellowed with age. I grade the cover EX

4 INNER SLEEVE

Original inner sleeve.

5 LISTENING NOTES

Side 1
A little crackle and one or two soft pops at the very beginning, lasting about twenty seconds. Five soft clicks about two minutes into the second movement. Occasional soft background crackle here and there, but for the most part very fine indeed. I grade this side EX

Side 2
Again a little very soft rumbling crackle for the first forty seconds, and eight very soft bumps in the closing bars of the finale caused by a shallow pressing bubble. Some occasional light background crackle here and there, but mostly very nice. I also grade this side EX

Some information about my business

RECORD CLEANING AND ASSESSMENT
I clean all 12 inch vinyl records on the Audio Desk Systeme Gläss machine, at the longest setting. I then physically examine the record with a magnifying glass for any visible defects.
10 inch and 7 inch vinyl and all shellac records are hand cleaned in warm water with a non corrosive cleaning agent.
Every record is then played IN ITS ENTIRETY, no sampling or guess-work. When you buy a record from me, it will be exactly as described. You can be sure that every flaw or defect will have been heard and will be specifically mentioned in my review.
I attempt to give an honest grading, based on internationally accepted grading standards. I will also give an honest opinion as to the quality of the cover and inner sleeve if appropriate.
LISTENING NOTES
These are my personal opinions on the quality of the sound, the performance, and background information about the recording where possible. I hope you find my comments helpful.
PACKAGING AND DESPATCH
All records are carefully packaged in strong cardboard cruciform boxes with supporting inserts. I supply a fresh inner sleeve and the original where it exists. A small post-it note on the inner sleeve gives details of the date and reference number of my cleaning and assessment, should you want to come back to me for more information. I recommend that you take out shipping insurance for higher value records.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT MY RECORDS
I will be putting small amounts of records up for auction at regular intervals over the coming months. These records are my personal choices, and I have selected them for a number of reasons. The music itself, the quality of the performance, its rarity and desirability, or just because I find a particular record interesting or unusual. I hope you take the time to look at the other records I have up for auction.
