Arvo Part - “Tabula Rasa” Gatefold LP (ECM Records -1984)
Up for auction is the rare original “Tabula Rasa” LP by Arvo Part. Although I enjoy the majority of his works, this is still my favorite Part release. This is an absolutely brilliant record. This is a second copy that I purchased over ten years ago. Since it’s purchase the LP has been played once, stored upright in a protective sleeve, and living in a smoke free home!
The gatefold sleeve is G (this is a cut-out/promo copy) There is a hand written catalog number written on the back cover (see photo) and on the spine. Looks to have once been part of a library catalog (univiersity/public library). There is also some sticker residue and ring wear on the back of the sleeve. The front of the sleeve looks great save for the cut-out. Comes with the original inner liner notes sheet.
Vinyl is EX+ I only played this copy once. It looks like it was rarely played (if at all) before I purchased it. Has a few pops. Nothing that severely affects play. Overall a fine piece of vinyl goodness!
