Description: This is a near mint condition copy of a rare LP by the American musician/producer/composer Arthur Russell, which was issued by Philip Glass' Chatham Square label in 1983.

Additional Info: Arthur Russell was a New York composer / musician / producer who initially made his name in the dance music genre, but later branched out and created a few minimalist compositions as well. Not surprisingly, Russell's collected discography is fairly disparate, but nonetheless his legacy has gained increased attention in recent years. One of the holy grails in Arthur's discography, Tower Of Meaning is a beautiful and moving orchestral work that slightly resembles the best early work of fellow minimalist Gavin Bryars. Packaged in an atypical multicolored silkscreened cover, this rare LP was released in a limited edition of only 320 copies, and is now highly sought after, both by collectors of Russell's discography, as well as enthusiasts of minimalist composition.
