Description

Discovery Records DL 3019, "Art Pepper Quartet" from 1953/1954. Art Pepper (sax), Hampton Hawes (piano), Joe Mandragon (bass), and Larry Bunker (drums). Original maroon-label microgroove vinyl play-grades at VG++ with little background sound; light ticks are audible between tracks but not during tracks. Jacket has light seamwear on upper edge and spine; lower seam has a couple of inches of repairable splitting at center; there is a piece of tape covering about one inch (11/2 cm) at bottom right (see scan); jacket back is basically clean but has some small writing within thee liner notes (see scan). Tracks are "Brown Gold", "Those Foolish Things", "Surf Ride", "Holiday Flight", "Suzie the Poodle", "Tickle Toe", "Everything Happens to Me", and "Chili Pepper".
