ART PEPPER "MODERN ART" LP - On SCORE Records, SLP 4030. Extremely rare 1958 MONO 12" LP, double sided DEEP GROOVE with the 1st press maroon label with silver lettering. Thick vinyl, thick cardboard cover. The personnel: Art Pepper/alto saxophone; Russ Freeman/piano; Ben Tucker/bass; Chuck Flores/drums. The cover is in excellent shape: bright & clean, displays wonderfully. Some of top & bottom seams taped very discreetly. Minor 2" seam break at spine. NO writing, NO bends or creases, NO cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. The vinyl is in VG+ condition (beautiful gloss, some light sleeve marks). Tiny pressing bump on side 1 has absolutely no effect on play. The songs are: Blues In; Bewitched; When You're Smiling; Cool Bunny; Dianne's Dilemma; Stompin' At The Savoy; What Is This Thing Called Love; Blues Out.
