ART PEPPER: "MEETS THE RHYTHM SECTION" LP - On CONTEMPORARY Records #C3532.  Extremely rare 1957 MONO pressing with the classic Yellow & Black labels.  The label is DEEP GROOVE on both sides.  Thick vinyl, thick glossy framed cardboard cover.  The personnel:  Art Pepper/alto sax; Red Garland/piano; Paul Chambers/bass; Philly Joe Jones/drums.  The vinyl is in mostly VG++ condition, beautiful high gloss.  There is, however, a thin, feelable ½" scratch in the first song on Side 1 that is audible during the first half of the song & a couple smaller ones at the end of the second song on Side 2.  There is also a very, very slight edge warp that has absolutely no effect on play.  The thick cardboard cover is in VG+ shape and displays nicely.  Rare version with blue lettering on back.  Occasional edge wear.  No cut-out marks, no writing, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking.  The songs are:  Straight Life; You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To; Red Pepper Blues; Imagination; Waltz Me Blues; Star Eyes; Jazz Me Blues; Tin Tin Deo; Birks' Works.
