Description

For auction is ART BLAKEY's "Orgy In Rhythm, Vol 1" Blue Note 1554, MONO, DG, 1957.
SOUND: VG+ or better It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Side 1 was excellent throughout, with 2 stray "pops" towards the end of the side. That's the only flaw worth mentioning. Side 2 is excellent without reservation.
VINYL: VG+ or better Visually, the vinyl is extremely nice. Nothing more than routine wear, and no discernible marks that might be of concern. Blue Note labels are a little worn, with deep-grooves both sides. "RVG" and the "ear" are etched in the run-outs.
COVER: VG+ or better The cover is excellent. The edges are solid with minor wear. The corners are a bit softened. The glossy front cover is excellent, clean with minimal wear. The back is also very clean with only routine aging. 
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics. 
A beautiful record that plays great. No reserve, bidding starts at $10.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability. 
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.  
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
