ART BLAKEY "Mosaic” RVG, P, LAM, Blue Note 4090 Mono Vinyl
This is the first edition, 1962, "RVG" stamped, Laminated Cover, P-pressing of Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers’ “Mosaic” on the "New York" labels of Blue Note BLP 4090. Musicians include Art Blakey – drums, Freddie Hubbard – trumpet, Curtis Fuller – trombone, Wayne Shorter - tenor saxophone, Cedar Walton – piano, Jymie Merritt - bass
VINYL plays with LIGHT SURFACE NOISE (i.e, STATIC, CRACKLE, ??,????,relative to the volume of the music/instruments). SOME DISTORTION AND GROOVEWEAR AUDIBLE on SIDE 1, #1. Sections are very dynamic and clear above the surface noise. No Skips. Good gloss. Many hairline marks, couple feelable. (If you can't feel it you won't hear it). The "New York" labels are generally clean with spindle marks. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in GOOD shape, corners worn. Seams and spine worn but clean, lower seam taped in middle. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23" back jacket shows wear. Please see photos.
