Description

Up for auction here is "Holiday For Skins, Volume 2" by Art Blakey on the Blue Note label, catalog #BLP 4005. The deep groove mono LP (with West 63rd address on label and RVG stamped and "ear" etched in dead wax) is VG/VG- with LOTS of light marks...nothing deep and plays with nice fidelity and just some light, occasional surface noise. This plays VERY good....the sound leaps from the speakers.....like having Art Blakey (and the whole group) in your living room. (you can listen to a one minute clip from this actual LP on youtube by searching for "Blakey Skins sample". The cover has worn seams (with a 6 inch split on bottom right, and a 4 inch split at top left) and piece of tape at top left. Also, there is a small corner on back cover slick that has torn away. Still, in it's new plastic sleeve, the graphics display well and there's no loss of color to detract from the amazing Reid Miles cover design. Obviously, everybody would prefer a mint copy, but this one plays so well and is so hard to find that I'd be HAPPY to keep it in my collection if I could afford to keep every cool record I came across. Shipping is $4 in the US (or $8 for Priority Mail), $14 to Canada and $24 to the rest of the world. Additional LPs are $1 each in the US, $3 to Canada and $6 each to the rest of the world. I pack records outside of the covers to protect the seams from splitting. They are shipped in dedicated record mailers with padded inserts. I spend a lot of time and money on shipping with care so your record looks as good when it arrives as it did when it left.
