ART BLAKEY “Meet You at The Jazz Corner of the World, Vol. 2” Blue Note RVG, LAM, BLP 4055 Mono Vinyl
This is “RVG” stamped pressing of ART BLAKEY & THE JAZZ MESSENGERS’ “Meet You at The Jazz Corner of the World, Vol. 2” on the “47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 4055. Musicians include Art Blakey, Lee Morgan, Wayne Shorter, Bobby Timmons, Jymie Merritt, Pee Wee Marquette.
VINYL plays very well, cleanly, with the infrequent pop or tick. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. No distortion. No skips. Good gloss. Handful of hairline marks and scuffs, none feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The “47 West 63rd” labels are clean, some fading, spindle wear. Original inner sleeve included. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in good shape. No peeling. Light stains on left border and top. Corners worn. Seams and spine in excellent condition, see photos. Back jacket clean overall, but bottom 1/4 of jacket shows water damage with large winkle and some tearing along bottom border. Please see photos.
This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
