Early United States Mono pressing album with both record labels reading “ 33 1/3 Microgroove Long Playing” and the address of “47 West 63rd NYC”. Both sides show “THE EAR” and a stamped RVG in the dead wax.
This recording features Lee Morgan on trumpet, Hank Mobley on tenor sax, Bobby Timmons on piano, Jymie Merritt on bass, and Art Blakey on drums.
COVER: The cover grades VG+ overall. The seams look like there has been taped removed (although there is no sticky residue) and we are not sure why any tape was ever applied as there is no seam splitting, just some light corner rubbing. The jacket has light wear on the front and back. The back also has a small amount of soiling and a name written near the top left corner. The jacket is also lightly curled and has minor creasing in three of the corners.
VINYL: The record is clean and retains a considerable amount of its original glossy luster. It shows a small number of light surface scratches, not excessive and none that can be felt on the grooves. This LP grades a nice VG+.
