This is the “RVG” stamped, Deep Groove, Laminated Cover, P-pressing of ART BLAKEY AND THE JAZZ MESSENGERS aka “Moanin’” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 4003. Musicians include Art Blakey – drums, Lee Morgan – trumpet, Benny Golson – tenor saxophone, Bobby Timmons – piano, Jymie Merritt – bass.

Deep Groove VINYL plays very well, with only occasional/infrequent very light surface noise (??,????,relative to the volume of the music/instruments). Largely dead-quiet vinyl. Ensemble sections are very dynamic  and clear. No Skips. No locked grooves. No distortion. Very Good gloss. Clean surface.  The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels are generally clean with stains, spindle marks. See photos.

LAMINATED COVER is in Good shape, super shiny, corners worn. Seams good with cracking, 1” split lower seam. Spine laminate peeling end-to-end. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23" back jacket clean, l3” tear/scuff, “x” in red, "Stolen from Brother Ben Do Not Sell” stamp. Please see photos.

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC AUDIO DESK SYSTEME VINYL PRO CLEANER.
