Exceptionally RARE original 1979 UK DIY private pressing 7” single of this great and highly sought after Punk / KBD 45. Only 500 copies issued. Recorded At Cargo Studios, Rochdale. 13-8-79. (Info from Manchester Punk 79-81 LP liner notes).

Armed Force were a six-piece punk band with vocalists Muppet (Paul Smart) and Lynda Hughes, two guitarists, Aki and Jim, and brothers Colin and Norman O’Neill on bass and drums respectively. Little else is known of them other than that they were based in the Moss Side district of Manchester and were connected with the influential Manchester Musicians Collective. They left behind only this one great punk single - “Popstar” b/w “Attack”.

CONDITION:

Vinyl: EX. Very clean and shiny excellent near mint condition. Both sides play great.

DIY Foldover Picture Sleeve: VG. Side A denoted as A1 on sleeve. Side B denoted as A2. Original fragile DIY homemade foldover thin paper picture sleeve has some creasing running along near the top, a small one inch split tear on the bottom back flap plus a brown stain (could be coffee) on the front near the bottom, otherwise is in very good condition. Please see pictures.

Labels: Excellent. Both are plain White Labels is issued. The A side has 1A written in green pen. The B side is unmarked.
