ARMAGGEDON – Armaggedon. Missing Vinyl MV 009. Greek release. FACTORY SEALED NEW VINYL RECORD ALBUM. Originally issued in 1970 on the Kuckuck label of Germany. This is a 2023 repress of the 2013 Missing Vinyl edition. MEMBERS: Frank Diez (guitar, vocals), Manfred Galatik (electric clavier, bass, vocals) Michael Numberg (bass, rhythm guitar), and Jurgen Lorenzen (drums).

DESCRIPTION: Revered by many wise listeners as one of the finest heavy rock albums of the early 1970’s, this was the only effort of Anglo-American blues rock from former Agitation Free/Emergency/Inga Rumpf guitarist and vocalist Frank Diez’s short-lived group; Armaggedon were one of the foremost Berlin exponents of Anglo-American inspired rock, and much better than most of their contemporaries, yet until the early 90s CD reissue hardly anyone had heard of them! With their influence clearly defined, the album contained excellent versions of Jeff Beck's Rice Pudding and Spooky Tooth's Better By You, Better Than Me, Armaggedon should have been an international hit, as they had an accessible sound with lots of complex and highly progressive elements, including English lyrics to potentially reach an international audience. But, as with most Kuckuck releases, nobody noticed. Nowadays it's revered as one of the finest heavy rock albums of the early-70's. Unfortunately short-lived, Armaggedon only made the one album and then split.

All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers with inside packing.

SS or SLD: Still Sealed or Sealed (or some variation of sealed depending on how many characters I have left in the title line). This item is new and unplayed. Also appears in the listing description as Sealed LP or Factory Sealed LP.
NEW LP: This item is new and unplayed, but was received from a supplier without being shrink wrapped or cellophane wrapped; more common on imports but also many of the smaller independent US labels do not seal their LPs. These items are placed inside of a clear poly outer sleeve upon their receipt by me

MIX: This sometimes appears in my title line and refers to a group's/artist's music having a mix of styles such a rock track with jazz then followed by a straight rock track followed by a psych rock track, etc., as opposed to a blues album with the album's tracks having predominantly one style.
