CONDITION

This record grades as 'good condition'

While it does have a lot of surface scratches, I would definately say it plays better than it looks.

I have only ever played this record on a light weight pick up, using a diamond needle.

The record plays well and it does not skip.

Apparently Aretha recorded this record in 1956 when she was 14.

It is sad that this disc is not in better condition, but having said that, it is a very rare disc and still very desirable.

The record that you see in the photo is the record that you will get.

 

POSTAGE

I have had 30+ years experience with 78 rpm records.

78's are fragile amd I do not post / pack them in the same way you pack a modern vinyl LP record.

This record will be packed between two pieces of cardboard, then placed inside a box surrounded by poly chips / pieces.

One record, packed this way will weigh up to 1KG, hence the postage cost is a little higher than the cost of a modern record.

The postage cost that I have quoted is based on 'worst case senario'. In other words, to post to WA or QLD from southern NSW.  If you live closer to me, and the postage cost is less, then I am happy to adjust the cost. This must be done before payment is made. Once the Auction or BIN is complete, I will send you a revised invoice with the cheaper postage cost. I can only do this if you are patient and do not make immediate payment. If you make immediate payment, you are agreeing that you are happy to pay the full postage cost.

I am happy to post INTERNATIONALLY

Please note that this is expensive, but it does work out a lot cheaper if you buy multiple records. If I have not quoted for your country, then please message me to confirm postage costs before bidding. I do not want people wasting my time, changing their minds after the close of auction when they find out that the cost is expensive.
