Description
The Works of Johann Sebastian Bach 6 Suites for Solo Cello performed by Pierre Fournier
The records are on ARCHIV PRODUKTION (History Division of the Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft), STEREO (RED STEREO). SAPM 198186-8. Silver/ Blue text label, 1960 Made in Germany (stamped to dead wax), RARE 1st Pressing
The records are in NM condition, beautiful clean surfaces, with exception of 198187a and 1988188b which has a few non sounding hairline marks, I can provide audio samples if required, within a reasonable time space to end of auction. The playback is superb with slight crackle (common to these issues) with extremely vibrant Cello playing, of course!
The labels are in EX+ with only 1988188 showing some deterioration to surface (please look at photos)
The sleeves are in EX++ Condition, only detracted by some numbers written to the English rear (see photos) all come with ARCHIV catalouge/library cards in NM
I carefully pack using professional mailers and stiffeners and listen to the customers preferred packing methods which is usually removing the record from the sleeve
