Description
This an original vinyl copy, on the Middle Earth label.
The sleeve condition is VG. Both sides are laminated. The sleeve illustration is by Mike McInnerny, who designed the original sleeve for 'Tommy'. I guess we all have our off days. There are no tears, and it is clean, and very shiny. The front has a number of mini creases running to the edges, a couple of small corner creases, Pic. 4, and an odd crease, right in the middle. There is a slight ripple effect to the front, and someone has used it to rest on whilst writing, on paper, on top. The rear sleeve is in similar condition. The band look their best with the bandages on. The edges, and spine are complete, apart from minor corner rubbing. Pic. 3.
The vinyl is in G condition. It does not appear to have been played much. The sound quality is very good, and clear, and there are no spindle marks on the label. But it would seem to have been carelessly handled, as there are crackles, and a few light scratches audible. There are no jumps or sticks, however. I will go through the album, track by track.
SIDE 1 'I'm on my way'......Almost 12 mins. long. Very slow build up from a really quiet start. Crackles audible during this. Vocals come in after about 6 mins. When the whole band get going for the final 4 minutes, crackles are almost inaudible.
'Poor Lady' A raucous track, crackles not intrusive.
Walk on the Bad Side. A quiet start, audible clicks for the first minute. Rest of the track plays fine, almost crackle-free.
SIDE 2. 'Woman of 1000 Years' This has light clicks for the first minute, then odd pops, and some crackles.
'Change Me' Quiet start, so some crackles audible. When song gets going, no problem.
'It Takes a Woman' Fast, loud, no problem until the last minute, when a dozen light clicks audible, in two places.
'Life and Death' Their party piece, a stormer of a track. There are crackles during the air-raid sirens at the start, thereafter plays fine.
I have tried to be as realistic about this album as I can. I offer a No-Quibble full refund, including postage, if you have any problem. This has only been taken up, so far with a customer,in Eastern Europe, whose postman managed to fold an LP in half, in order to get it through the letter-box
