APOLLO’S APACHES-45-“Boss” b/w “Cry Me A Lie”-Barra-Donna Records #AP-5029-Great 1966 2-sided punker out of Chicago-Garage / Punk-this is the best of both worlds-It’s great punk, and it is definitely out of the garage! Both sides are guitar dominated with a Vox Continenrtal lurking in the back. Both sides have great, very primitive lead guitar breaks, slightly out of tune to add the final edge. Really great record. “Cry Me A Lie” is a fave in particular. Especially cool when the lead singer says “Go, get ‘em Apaches” before the lead break and at the fade... Condition: Record is in really nice condition-Possibly VG+++ or better-would be Mint-Minus, but has 3 or 4 very light surface scratches visible in certain light angles-also a very slight-almost hard to see slow warp, which obviously does not affect play.
