APJ-018 Bill Evans - Riverside Recordings
45 RPM Edition - Played Once & Cleaned by DeGritter
Purchased from Acoustic Sounds, I carefully opened each album and played them once on my computer based stereo pictured below. Each record was cleaned twice on my DeGritter (which I will be selling soon).
The issues with so-called sealed sets, is you never know the real condition until opening. Having opened the set, I can assure that all the records plated extremely well and their condition was excellent. No serious warping or other defects were noted. While my hearing is no longer the best at 80, I never heard anything remotely sounding like a bad “pop". NO LP set is perfect, yet I don’t recall anything that “hit” me as I listened to each record.

The box is as I received it, very clean and undamaged
A booklet comes with it too but I didn’t open it. The original Riverside release was 1984 but I don’t know when Acoustic Sounds issued the remastered set
All the albums have 2-45 RPM LP’s ranged from very flat to an ever so slightl wobble that was barely noticeable on turntable during play
I think the buyer should have an idea about how the records were handled and plyed with. So they were played on a quality VPI Turntable & MAC based computer system, feeding into a typical but good sounding Integrated amp & speakers
No cleaning brushes were used on the records
Each record was cleaned twice on the “Heavy” cycle
on my DeGritter ultra-sonic record cleaner
Before being played, each LP was treated by my photography static removing equipment and no brush physically touched the grooves
After play, each LP was given an anti-static treatment again before being put back into sleeves
