SUNSETONTHE MOON "This World Wasn't Meant To Be Sensible"
I ACCEPT PAYPAL PAYMENTS FOR THIS AUCTION
Yes...A great and Spittingly-Punkily unique Pogoically-Pleasing auction on the great ANTISECT with a London Punks 1980s Antisect Collection of a one-off TRIOof GIG FLYERS from 1984 Nottingham/London and Bristol,,..with bands playing as follows:- Crucifix/No Defences/Amebix/MDC...and with all with Antisect upon them too...! (& I will include a freebie HUGE LIVE PHOTOGRAPH OF ANTISECT too…10” X 8”s from the ’82 Squat Gig at the Zig-Zag in London with Discharge!)
...and all these FOUR items are up for grabs for you of course... from the year 1982/1984 When I first ran into their brand of early days Dischargin‘ wannbedom through to the time when everyone wanted to be Antisect..!!!
I actually caught them live quite a bit as they first appeared on the Punk-Scene in ‘82 via Discharge support slots around the UK.
First its that great band that themselves spawned, a thousand peace-poor imitators to their unique brand of Anarcho-Punk call-it-what-you-will-protest-Punk....I first caught them on a support slot playing with, my beloved (and seen live 49 times) Discharge in April 1982…and from the moment they disappeared offstage I knew I’d seen something quite unique and how right I was way back then aged just 19..!!!
And hailing (a Black Crusty taxi) from Daventry in the Midlands, they were a quiet, almost shy, bunch of hippie-type punks in a ‘leather jacketed’ scene...indeed they were just that too (for the first few months I saw them)...then got into the more caring side of Punk whereas Discharge went all ‘bludgeon-riffola’ after that..!!!
When early-Antisect gigged most of their early set was more-or-less straight ‘Discharge wannabe’ material fayre of songs like “Ulster”/“Suicide Victims”/“No Release”/“Anarchy Ruleth”/“Fear Of God”/“Philosophy Of Anarchy”/“Wars A Crime”/“Spoils Of War”/“Waiting For World War III”/“Existance”/“Aftermath”/“Prisoner Of Society”/“Consequence Of Hunger” and a few more that they didn’t even play live too.
...after that this material and all that pre-gigging material was ditched...they used to bail out and cancel more gigs (I turned up) for than they actually gigged….due to poor finances and even worse green-vanned transport too...
Then they got into their LP project (on a par with the Sex Pistols production and the ‘Hear Nothing’ Discharge LP) in Punkey time when something came from outta nowhere and hit you smack on the Punkey-Questioning Forehead (OUCHER!!!) and I managed to get some great early photographs too along the way 35 or so….!
...they got on really well with Discharge too..then they went their separate ways in 1983 after ANTISECT pulled out of the 100 Club, London gig with that being down solely to ticket prices hikes* they were not happy with (*£39.99 subject to booking fee via American Sexpress Gold Card..!!!).
I used to like ANTISECT more and more as a result of their splitting of ‘punkey-ways’ in late 1982/early 1983...After the LP Antisect got a bit too tribal for me and a little metal-ier too...sounded great but just not for me that’s all...preferred the 1982/1983 stuff when they were with Wink (bassist) and then the early 5/6 piece with Caroline and Rich dual-singing with Pete (Boyce, original singer) aswell... too..!
This Set of FOUR items (3 Gig Flyers) are from that era...
THE THREE ORIGINAL GIG FLYER ITEMS are as follows...
1) The first one is from BRISTOL on the Saturday February 4th 1984 with ANTISECT/CRUCIFIX/AMEBIX at the Old Market (Trinity Hall) BRISTOL of course and measures 8” x 6” and is an original from 1984 as are all my handouts, flyers and Antisect memorbiliabongness........!
2) The second one is a (4” X 2.5” s) of Antisect Tour Date at The Vale Social Club, Colwick, Nottingham on Friday March 9th 1984...with Crucifix of course and also ‘No MDC’ (Millions Of Dead Cops) as they could not get through Dutch Customs to get here and play in the UK for the whole Tour...and were on many Flyers & Handouts and Gigs In Press Adverts to play aswell.....
3) Next up is the ANTISECT Tour Date at Ambulance Station, London on Friday February 8th 1984...with CRUCIFIX and NO DEFENCES too.
4) An ANTISECT LIVE PHOTO GRAPH I took myself at the Zig-Zag Club, London in 1982 of Pete (Boyce) the singer screaming down the mike with the drum kit of Pete (Polly’s) behind and the Discharge ‘Never Again’ backdrop behind them two - its is one I developed myself in a photographic dark room (rather crudely I may add) in black and white and it measures 10” X 8” s
An awesome package on the Uncrowned Punk Kings from Daventry that is simply a ‘must-have’ for this seasons Punk fashions in Kensington and the Sloane Square areas this fall...be quick and the pappa-arsey will love you...miss out and become the Sunday Mirror supplement target for love-sex-triangles with a vicar, a hairy dog and a boy of 12 from Brighton...Mmm I know which one I’d choose...and it’s not the hairy dog...been there done that wore the hairy tee-shirt too..(...scratch-scratch).
Grab this Punkey-lot you thought never existed on the UK’s most underated but overly-punkey outfit called ANTISECT…whatever era or member personnel they were quite unique indeed.....Interest in this Antisectual-Auction will rightly be sky-high as you cannot get this anywhere else at all...if you wait for another you’ll die unhappy waiting...it is all here now for you...miss them and die without them simple...the sole winner will walk away from this one all Sects-Up......I should say so...!!!.....Oooh Suits yoo...!!!!...Soots Yoo Sir...!!!!!
......It may just seem too good to be true but I must insist this is my Punkey-friends an auction strong enough to make you SECTS mad...!!!
