SCARCE original pressing vinyl on the legendary german Ohr label(that released the records of Anima, Wallenstein, Witthuser & Westrupp and Broselmachine, Holderlin, Floh de Cologne and Mythos, Ihre Kinder, Xhol and many more). Comes inside a special  "Gimmick" cover. The cover has "triangles" that fold open to create different images on the cover(one of the triangles has a 4cm tear).

Featured in the Nurse with wound list of influences, one of the hardest to find in the list!!

Here's a short historic of the band:"Amongst the most innovative of underground Krautrock bands who, like Organisation, built the foundation for a new type of music on the cosmic edge of jazz-fusion. They were contemporaries with groups Cosmic Jokers, Tangerine Dream and Conrad Schnitzler, Kluster, Cluster and Ash Ra Tempel, Dzyan, Can, Gila and Popol Vuh, Guru Guru, Neu!, A.R. & Machines and Holger Czukay, Seesselberg, Machine Nr.9. Their roots stem back to 1967 as the band Ambition In Music, from Kamp-Lintfort near Düsseldorf, and by 1970 they'd expanded, took on all sorts of influences and ideas, and moved well away from their hippy-rock roots, becoming Annexus Quam.

The earliest morsel of Annexus Quam (recorded during the sessions for their debut LP) is the uniquely ethnic "Kollodium", featured on the excellent OHRENSCHMAUS compilation. It's now a rarity worth seeking out, showing their roots, tripping-out like a cosmic Third Ear Band, with a weirdness nod to early Between or Limbus 3.

Their debut album OSMOSE (issued with a lavish novelty multi-fold cover) is most fascinating, even more cosmic than "Kollodium", featuring much guitar and unusual use of jazz instruments (the trombone work is extraordinary, for instance) in what is really a rock based music. A really spacious fusion of avant-garde, rock, jazz, and unusual use of psychedelic studio effects (lots of twangy slap-back echo and ring modulation), somewhere between Ash Ra Tempel and Kollektiv maybe, it's pure head-space music, and is considered by many as one of the finest Ohr albums. For a pointer, take the jazzy instrumental sections of Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother" and turn it Kosmische!

After a change in personnel, and much playing at jazz festivals, BEZIEHUNGEN dived head-first into the realms of free-jazz. Admittedly one of the best examples of the genre, it still had its moments, though there are parts that jar and grate (to a non-jazzer that is), with much experimental improvisation akin to early Iskra or Music Improvisation Company."(kind courtesy of ultima Thule)

Here's a review from the internet: "Annexus Quam's legacy in the world of krautrock stood somewhere between the frontal jazz-rock fusion of Embryo and the ethnical-exotic excursions of early Agitation Free and Amon Düül II, generally leaning a bit closer to the former. Annexus Quam, as an ensemble, chooses to restrain the potential explosiveness of typical psychedelia while keeping an energetic vibe and an exploratory expressiveness to their music. Lots of inputs in the wind department (including a keyboardist who also plays clarinet), two guitarists with one of them doubling on trombone, almost every musician adding extra percussion together with the drummer - this disposition is more than ideal for the organization of extensive jams, and that's basically what AQ is all about. The guitar phrases and the solid rhythm section set up the coordinates in which the group's sound meets its functional ordainment. Their debut album "Osmose" is a feast for all lovers of trippy experimental prog. 'Osmose I' kicks off quite languidly, like a shade of light that illuminates the dawn's sky for sleepy eyes. 'Osmose II' shows a noticeable intensity increase, with a tribal-meets-funky pulsation augmented by a rocking vibe. The almost 10 minute long 'Osmose III' is the band's first expression of expansion and continuing feedback. Starting with an electric blues inspired basis in a slow tempo, very "Ummagumma", indeed. As the track goes on, the energy grows in a cleverly sustained manner, combining subtlety and intensity. The 18-minute 'Osmose IV', which filled the vinyl's B side, is the monster track. The Embryo similarities are easy to notice (although no rip-off or real imitation takes place). Juergen Jonusches' bass lines assume a leading role in many passages - in fact, it is the aleatory rhythm section's occurrences that set the mood for all the sections that go emerging as the track goes on. Some weird chanting married to tenor sax lines bring a playful lysergic mood. Between minutes 10 and 12 comes a drum solo accompanied by mesmeric pastoral flute lines and mysterious acoustic guitar phrases. After that, a series of sax, trumpet and trombone touches come by and by, creating an alternative to the duet of electric and acoustic guitar, while the drummer, once again, brings yet another solo without paying attention to what their partners are performing. This apparent sensation of chaos reveals, after a second or third listening, a clever exercise in the dadaistic textures of musique concrete and the unpredictable flows of free jazz. Full of improvisation and challenging moods, while not being excessive nor creepy, Annexus Quam's "Osmose" proves a solid hidden gem in the history of the most avant-garde side of prog."

Vinyl lies in excellent very fresh condition vg++, quite clean and plays nicely all along with the exception of a small passage of 1 minute on b side where there appears to be some sort of stain on the vinyl that produces a noise each time the needle passes from it, other than that i could have graded the vinyl excellent!! Cover lies in only very good condition, because of a 4 cm tear on one of the "leaves" that make the gimmick cover...you can hide the tear, but it's there, otherwise it would be excellent with only some minimal corner wear ...impossible to find in any condition!!
