Greek experimental/electronic composer Anestis Logothetis (1921-94) studied at the electronic music studios in Cologne with Koenig and at the Darmstadt summer school. By the end of the late 1950’s he had developed his own system of graphic notation. Logothetis thought that graphic elements could signify musical language in three ways: “They can symbolize a thing by meaning it. They can create associations and finally signalize commands.” Three works are featured “Anastasis” for musical language adventure “Wellenformen” (waveforms) for computer music & “Styx” for pulling orchestra. Fascinating composer! This scarce recording with illustrated booklet is seldom offered at eBay. There is no Discogs listing. Don’t miss it!
Record is in NEAR MINT+ condition (appears unplayed) & graphic jacket is NM.
