LP SOUNDTRACK 1971
GIL MELLE

1971 SOUNDTRACK LP composed by GIL MELLE for the sci-fi film 'THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN'. This is a 'Promotional' copy as stamped in the top right corner and does not have any punch hole cut outs of any kind. I understand that only a very limited quantity of 10,000 were pressed.

The LP cover opens like a camera shutter to reveal a hexagon shaped record. The cover is generally fine but 2 of the 'petals' especially have damage. One petal is creased and torn at the seam, the other petal is creased and has a tear midway on the edge of the petal. Otherwide the other petals are fine with only minor superfical marring. The cover itself also has some light corner bend and some surface grooves in the bottom right corner. However, as can be noted from the main cover photo, when the cover is closed a lot of the imperfections disappear.

The vinyl itself plays VG/VG+ (mostly VG+) and is still shiny. The record still has the original plastic cover with the warning sticker.
