Description

"Eight To The Bar Ranch" radio show transcription discs recorded by International Artists, Inc. Recording Studios.  Approximately 30 minutes on these two 16 inch, one sided, black lacquer acetate coated aluminum, 33 1/3 rpm discs.  These discs were recorded for reference purposes only and not available to the general public, very rare!

"Eight To The Bar Ranch" radio program from January 14, 1945 starring The Andrews Sisters with Gabby Hayes, The Riders Of The Purple Sage and special guest Rudy Vallee.  Announcer is Marvin Miller

Songs include "Everybody Loves The Navy"? vocal The Andrews Sisters, "The Three Caballeros" vocal The Andrews Sisters, "Those Texas Blues"? vocal Riders Of The Purple Sage, "When It's Twilight On The Trail" vocal Patty Andrews, "Lime And Coca Cola" (a variation of "Rum And Coca-Cola") vocal The Andrews Sisters, "There's A Song In The Air"? vocal Rudy Vallee, The Andrews Sisters

Program is sponsored by Nash-Kelvinator with commercials.  Program was originally broadcast over The Blue Network.

The program is complete with exception to approximately 1 minute and 15 seconds of recorded silence at the start of the program.  Whoever was responsible for recording the discs didn't start until into the first song, so the opening announcement and part of the first song were not recorded

These discs came directly from the estate of Rudy Vallee

Discs are in Excellent- Condition with Excellent- Sound.  There is some light surface noise towards the end of disc 1

Please note that most standard turntables will not play 16 inch radio transcriptions due to their size.   For $10 I can make a CD copy of both discs for the buyer only
