ANDREW HILL – Compulsion!!!!!, Blue Note 84217

Here’s a nice original 1965 Stereo pressing on the NY USA Label. This one has Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax and comes with the original Blue Note inner sleeve. This is an excellent free jazz session and a tough record to find. With Andrew Hill on Piano are Freddie Hubbard on Trumpet, John Gilmore on Tenor, Cecil McBee on Bass, Joe Chambers on Drums, Nedi Qamar handling various percussion, & Renaud Simmons on Conga.

The tracks are: Compulsion, Legacy, Premonition, & Limbo

VINYL is thick, heavy, glossy, and looks like it’s rarely been played. There’s some faint marks on it so visually it looks VG+. It plays flawlessly with out any surface noise. Play grade is Near Mint.

COVER has high gloss and good color. There is a corner ding in the upper right and some discoloration there as seen in the photo. The back is white without stains and has the 61st street address. No splits, writing, or ring-wear. I’ll give it a VG+ to NM, but you be the judge.

PAYMENT – I prefer Money Orders but PayPal is OK too. Payment must be received within 7 days after the close of auction. If you’re unable to pay on time, don’t bid.

U.S. SHIPPING – Shipping is $4 for the 1st LP, the 2nd LP ships FREE, and then add $1 for each other shipped in the same package. I always combine your wins to save on shipping costs. I sell records, I’m not trying to make money shipping packages. Insurance is recommended, I can’t be responsible once the package has shipped.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
To EUROPE the first LP is $14, then add $2.50 for each other (up to 4 pounds or 2 kilos) within 7 days.
To ASIA the first LP is $15, then add $3.00 for each other (up to 4 pounds or 2 kilos) within 7 days. Surface mail to Europe and Asia is available for half the price but it can take weeks to arrive and not recommended.
