Description
Anais Nin reading House of Incest. Originally recorded in 1949 at the New York City recording studio of Louis and Bebe Barron, original pioneers of electronic music. This mega rare record features an original front plate photomontage by Val Telberg. Only 100 of these records were pressed and released. This is numbered 83, and bears the autographs of both Anais Nin and Val Telberg. This is one of two recordings of readings by Anais Nin produced by Contemporary Classics under the supervision of Louis and Bebe Barron. I have listed the second one as well entitled Anais Nin reading Under a Glass Bell.
The jacket shows some aging and edgewear, but is actually in pretty decent condition considering its age. The record is excellent. A very rare item and a must have for any serious collector of works by Anais Nin and/or spoken word recordings.
I try to grade records accurately. Most records are play graded.
Quoted shipping in the domestic U.S. is by Media Mail. Quoted international shipping is by USPS first class international mail. Heavier packages must be shipped by USPS International Priority mail. I prefer to combine shipping to save costs. Generally in the U.S. each additional record adds about $.60 to the shipping charge. On international shipments, each additional record generally adds about $4 to the shipping charge. All shipping will be quoted at the end of the listing(s). Records are shipped in heavy cardboard mailers designed specifically for LP's with bubble wrap or cardboard inserts for protection.
If you feel that my description of the record is inaccurate in some respect, you can return the record for a refund of the full purchase price (less shipping).
If you want a record held for future shipping, please email me so I know that is your intention. I prefer that you pay for the record at the time of purchase since ebay charges me at the time the sale closes.
If you have any questions about the record, please ask them before the auction closes. I will assume that all bidders know what they are bidding on and I will not accept returns becuase the buyer bid by mistake etc.
