Australian composer Oren Ambarchi and Norwegian guitarist Fredrik Rasten reconvene their one-off live score for Eduard Grecner's 1967 Slovak cult film Dragon's Return, recorded during its screening at Film Fest Gent in 2024, and now released in standalone form. The session took place at Videodroom in collaboration with the Slovak Film Institute, and the resulting album drifts through folk-rooted improvisation, ritualistic textures and low-lit drone, summoning the seance-like atmosphere of the film, though not leaning on its visuals. Ambarchi dials back his electro-acoustic edge in favour of elemental gestures on strings, percussion and conch shells, while Rasten's 12-string guitar and quiet voice build arrestingly grainy, glimmering shapes.
