Though Amalia Rodrigues made many recordings and appeared in numerous motion recordings and appeared in numerous motion pictures, this album probably captured the greatest realism of her artistry. Both the great singer and the instrumentalists who accompany her were recorded so faithfully that the illusion is created that performers are side by side with the listener in his or her listening room.
