Unquestionably one of the most famous recordings ever done, the Zarathustra sessions in 1954 have been hailed as the birth of high-end stereo.
This edition of the renowned LSC-1806, is the 1/2 speed mastered, .5 series LP released by Rca President John Pfeiffer, when he got fed up with taking so much flak over flimsy, awful sounding Dynaflex pressings.
As a result, he worked from the original Rca master tapes, half-speed mastered them, then pressed the LSC classics on a heavier vinyl. The result is quite stunning and every reason why the recording is highly touted on the TAS list.
This copy is very crisp; the jacket near perfect (has a small notch); record within is all ashine. Near mint and better in playback.
A classic performance of extraordinary proportion.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
