Impossibly rare, legendary UK first pressing 6 LP set on the HMV RED/GOLD label. The catalogue number is ALP 1030-35 released in 1953

All of the original red gatefold sleeves are in excellent/excellent + condition with No tears NO writing and come complete with their original MADE IN ENGLAND inner sleeves

The center labels are exceptionally clean with only a few wispy spindle marks (and you have to look carefully to see them) EXCELLENT+ No spindle wear. The records all of which retain their original sheen grade as follows:-

ALP 1030 side 1 ex+ side 2 ex++
ALP 1031 side 1 ex side 2 ex
ALP 1032 side 1 ex side 2 ex
ALP 1033 side 1 has a few light tics. Nothing serious side2 the same
ALP 1034 side 1 ex side 2 a few tics caused by surface mark so VG+
ALP 1035 side 1 EX+ side 2 EX+

THERE ARE NO MAJOR FAULTS WITH THIS RARE SET

So there we have it, Overall easily EXCELLENT and in most cases better than that if you forgive the odd bit of crackle and surface noise. After all you will be listening to 12 sides over nearly 3 hours of music on records that are 57 years old!!

There is the odd bit of background crackle which is quite normal for records that are 57 years old and the odd scuff/hairline. These have been taken into account when listening to and grading the records.ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SERIOUS! I grade conservatively.

A professional cleaning would without doubt enhance the sound quality of these records.

THIS HISTORIC RECORDING RARELY BECOMES AVAILABLE
