VINYL: VG+ PLAY GRADE: NM COVER: VG++ NOTES: ABSOLUTE STUNNING DEBUT FROM THE ULTIMATE GREGG & DUANE ALLMAN CREATION - PERHAPS THE BEST MIX EVER HEARD! ESSENTIAL. You know the music...you know the story. This record belongs in EVERY collection! Here we have a HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER Presswell pressing mastered by LEGENDARY ENGINEER GEORGE PIROS - WHOSE PRESSINGS ARE WELL RESPECTED AMONG COLLECTORS FOR GOOD REASON! His etching appears in the dead wax on side one. No doubt everyone seeks out a "first pressing" of this album, but I recently read it wasn't until 1970 or 1971 that Piros re-cut the first few Allmans album. So while the catalog numbers indicate 1969 "first" edition, it's possible Piros masters came a year or so later...At any rate - THERE IS NO DENYING THIS IS AN ORIGINAL PIROS CUT ALBUM WELL OVER 40 YEARS OLD! *** OUTSTANDING DEEP THROBBING LOUD SOUND, THIS IS THE CUT YOU WANT. Others may be inclined to grade higher, but I tend towards conservative. Beautiful cover too front & back but there is scuffing on the spine. GREAT CHANCE AT AUCTION - YOU GOOD PEOPLE DECIDE THE PRICE!
